Family Dyer mandolin, style 35-special
This one-of-a-kind (special engraved inlays) was built by Carl, c.1916 for his daughter Violet. She died in the flu epidemic in 1920. Since her death the family instruments remained un-played until 1947 when this mandolin was given to my sister, Violet, and the thin body guitar given to me.
